THE UFC IS BACK!! A Preview for UFC 249:Ferguson vs Gaethje

FINALLY!!!! It has been way too long since we have had a real live sporting event and this Saturday the UFC makes its return. We thought we were going to have this event a few weeks back but, it didn't happen. Here we are only a few days away and barring any last minute changes we will have live fights come Saturday.

What's even better than having a live sporting event back? We have possibly the most stacked UFC card of all time like OF ALL TIME...This card is fucking sick we have two championship fights, Cowboy Cerrone, and two huge heavyweight fights. Bruce Buffer saying "We AREEEEE Live!!!" It's going to hit so different after not having sports for so long. That is of course if the GOAT Bruce Buffer is there this weekend which hopefully he is.

We have major implications for two division on this card as we have the Bantamweight Championship on the line as Henry Cejudo taking on the returning Dominick Cruz in what should be an incredible fight. Cejudo comes in as a former two division champion and currently riding a 5 fight win streak. His last fight was back in June of last year as he defeated Marlon Moraes by TKO. As for Cruz we haven't seen him inside the octagon in almost 4 years. December 30th, 2016 was his last fight in what was a loss to Cody Garbrandt via decision. Cruz has been battling injuries but will look to comeback and make a major statement on Saturday night. I expect this fight to be a wrestling clinic and probably a little slower paced as both guys are coming off a little bit of a layoff.

The main event also has some major implications in the Lightweight division as Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje will battle for the Interim Lightweight Championship. A fight that was originally schedule to be the long awaited Tony Ferguson vs Khabib Nurmagomedov, was put on hold once again due to Khabib being "stuck in Russia." *Eye Roll* This marks the fifth time this much anticipated matchup has been postponed/cancelled. Hopefully we will see that fight one day but for now we will still be getting what should be an epic fight. Justin Gaethje is an electric fighter with insane knockout power. He comes in on a three fight win streak with his last win coming against Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone back in September. It has been just about a year since we've seen Tony Ferguson in the octagon as he last fought in June of 2019 where he bear guess who...Donald Cerrone via TKO. Ferguson comes in having won 12 straight fights dating back to 2013. I am super excited for this one as these two aren't going to hold anything back and someone is going to get knocked out. The winner of this one will be the Interim Lightweight Champion and will be setup for a bout with Khabib to determine the undisputed Lightweight Champion.

This card is going to be epic and I could not me more excited for it. So let's take a look at how the full card shapes up starting with the early prelims....
