UFC 247: Jones vs Reyes

This Saturday night from the Toyota Center in Houston Texas, UFC 247: Jones vs Reyes comes to you live on ESPN+ and PPV. We have two title fights and that's about the only exciting thing about this card. It isn't a totally stacked card but, there should be some solid action especially with the two titles on the line. Hopefully this card surprises a lot of us and is better than it looks on paper. Lets take a look at how the fight card shapes up...

Early Prelims: 6:15pm on UFC Fight Pass:

Featherweight Bout: Austin Lingo(7-0-0) vs Youssef Zalal(7-2-0)

Bantamweight Bout: Andre Ewell(15-6-0) vs Jonathan Martinez(11-2-0)

Bantamweight Bout: Domingo Pilarte(8-2-0) vs Journey Newson(8-2-0)

Prelims: 8:00pm on ESPN

Welterweight Bout: Alex Morono(17-6-0) vs Kalinn Williams(8-1-0)

Women’s Flyweight Bout: Lauren Murphy(11-4-0) vs Andrea Lee(11-3-0)

Middleweight Bout: Trevin Giles(11-2-0) vs Antonio Arroyo(9-3-0)

Main Card: 10:00pm on PPV/ESPN+

Heavyweight Bout: Derrick Lewis(22-7-0,1NC) vs llir Latifi(14-7-0,1NC)

Featherweight Bout: Mirsad Bektic(13-2-0) vs Dan Ige(12-2-0)

Heavyweight Bout: Juan Adams(5-2-0) vs Justin Tafa(3-1-0)

Women's Flyweight Championship Bout: Valentina Shevchenko(18-3-0) vs Katlyn Chookagian(13-2-0)

Light Heavyweight Championship Bout: Jon Jones(25-1-0,1NC) vs Dominick Reyes(12-0-0)

For this card the only real reason I care about it is because of my boy Jon Jones. Other than that the only other fighter I am looking forward to watching is Derrick Lewis because that dude is an absolute monster. The women's championship fight is intriguing but I think it will be an easy win for Shevchenko. For my guy Jon Jones, Reyes is a tough opponent but Jones is the best in the world and one of the best of all time. I fully expect him to dominate this fight from start to finish. Reyes has the knockout power to finish Jones but I don't see any chance he will be able to land anything clean enough to pick up the upset victory.
